You know, I do have one question after glancing at the Obama 527 Formerly Known As Daily Kos, which is:
Was Obama's speech today merely the greatest speech ever given by a Presidential candidate, or was it, in fact, the greatest speech ever given by a sentient being? I'm seriously leaning toward the latter, but how can I be sure?

OMG. He Wrote It Himself!
Stop the presses, a man who has been the editor of the Harvard Law Review, a law professor, and a Senator, managed to write a decent speech himself. Himself!
Gawd, I hope that diary is parody.
"Do what you feel in your heart to be right -- for you'll be criticized anyway. You'll be damned if you do, and damned if you don't. " - Eleanor Roosevelt
He. Can. Write. And. Speak. Think about that!
Just don't think critically.
I love them screenshots of
I love them screenshots of the DKos rec list.
By the way, I went over and clicked on that Bob Johnson diary and found this in there:
"I am not an Obama fanatic."
Huh, you could have fooled me...
P.S. Does anyone actually
P.S. Does anyone actually know someone in real life who cries upon hearing political speeches? Cause I don't, and I wouldn't want to either...
I'm refering to the "Obama brought me to tears diary" by RFK lives.
It's great news that RFK lives
But where the heck is he? Is he running for anything?
And VC? Just building the record....

That speech was C- work at best
Not well constructed, not well delivered. And full of lines that would be embarrassing displays of hypocrisy if anyone would print the truth and not the legend.
He can do better work than this, or at least I hope so if he's going to be our Pres.
"Rev Who?"
Too bad that isn't on Kos' diary list. It belongs there.
So does "How many Obamagasms did you have? I had 3!"

The media myth is powerful
And full of lines that would be embarrassing displays of hypocrisy if anyone would print the truth and not the legend.
Exactly. I fear his candidacy is a house of cards totally dependent on the media "narrative," one that needs Clinton. With her out of the picture, I cannot see how the media will keep this up against McCain in the GE. If even Obama supporters initially felt betrayed about Wright, what will happen if they ever know that it was Obama--not Clinton--who engaged in a truly polarizing, smear campaign? Since his trump card is being change himself, which rests on being an icon of racial healing, it seems like too much of a target for the right-wing to avoid.
God, I hope I'm wrong, because the right wing noise machine could distort this into the political version of Tawana Brawley. I don't put anything past them.
Davidson, get with the program
The beauty part of the unity thing is that the GOP will reliably follow suit. You've got to let go of those old frames, my friend.
As long as we're not bickering partisans, and we go to church (but not on the wrong days), everything's going to work out fine.
Whew!
No need to worry then.
Stunning
'He wrote it himself' and yet, 'it reveals a remarkable consistency.'
Are these people adults? I find this so juvenile. Almost as juvenile as MSNBC and CNN fawning over his speech.
Somebody please tell me that his grandmother is not still alive. I will feel doubly bad if she heard about her 'bigotry' on national TV today.
kc
She is
very much alive. Can you believe it? He threw his own grandmother under the bus.

Recommended Diaries brought me to tears.
Is there a more apt name for a DailyKos diarist than...
Lars Thorwald?
