A blogger's curse on the corporate weasels at blogger

lambert's picture

[Time to "reset" this hardy perennial of a post. Went to Atrios last night, and got the message: "This blog is currently moving to the new version of Blogger. Please try back in a little while." So I went to Atrios this morning, and got the very same message! I guess the notion of "a little while" is a wee bit elastic. "Push button publishing"? Sure, except you have to keep pushing the button...

UPDATE Atrios is now back up, at the correct URL, atrios.blogspot.com.

UPDATE Atrios is now back up at a temporary location, eschaton08.blogspot.com, but the old URL, atrios.blogspot.com still doesn't work. A humongous international multi-billion-dollar corporation can't be expected to think of everything, now can it? Let's be reasonable, here, people.]

[Guess it's time to reprint this hardy perennnial. Atrios, Digby, The General, they're all down. Probably Anheduanna, being a Goddess, has a far more powerful curse than this, but She's taking a bath now, and I don't want to disturb her.]

In honor of blogger being bloggered yet again, I reprint the following, slightly edited:

O corporate weasels at blogger:

May a blogger's curse fall on your heads:

May you be vested, and may your stock tank. In your arrogance, may you have bought a ton of stock on margin using those same options as collateral, and may margin calls fall upon you. May that inane spinning clock plague your dreams. May your content be irretrievably corrupted. May your templates reveal source. May you lose posts. May you double post, nay triple, nay quadruple post. May you gaze at the friggin' dashboard and a spinning cursor until your eyes bleed. May you be plagued in your cubes with boils. May your bimmers be lemons. May your returns be "0%" in all your endeavours to the end of your days.

Hear endeth the lesson.

Good reading! Favorite quote: What could go wrong?
Beyond war, inflation, the end of the technology/productivity wave, and financial collapse, we think the most potent and short-term threat would be societies demanding a more ‘equitable’ share of wealth.
