I've been thinking: Bill Clinton is a man who has for most of his career been more popular than his party. I miss his passion for policy.
Isn't it interesting to see someone who's clearly so smart communicate with people in a way that they get it and don't feel condescended to?
Yup
My mom actually mentioned that the other day. She was talking about how he was a Rhodes Scholar and one of the smartest people we've ever elected and that she never once felt like he used it to talk down to people. It's funny the disconnect between regular folks and the village. Honestly, I think they never got past his accent or his roots.
