An Interesting Question re: the Libby Debacle

I've been dorking around at the Crack Den while trying to get through to various offices (all the lines are busy, good job, shrill ones!) and poster Roddy made this interesting point:

Here's the thing. Bush didn't do this out a any sense of personal loyalty or to reward Scooter. That's not his thing. For him to do something like this -- something that could very well tip the scales toward impeachment -- most likely means that Scooter knows something very big and very ugly.

About Bush, Cheney, and many others I'm sure. I'm not holding my breath, but I wish Democrats would take this line of reasoning and apply it to some under oath hearings. FDL says Conyers will be holding some soon, so we'll see.

Libby

just as i predicted, from day 1, scooter's scootin': the shitwhistle won't spend a single night in the joint.

anyone who expected otherwise was/is delusional.
the dims won't do any more than posture and make loud noises. they don't want a constitutional crisis, because they'd lose. the opus dei court would decide (5-4) in favor of the unitary presidency.

as one who lived through the John Birch Society's decades-long, futile, fruitless campaign to 'impeach Earl Warren', I also do not expect any dims will try to impeach either roberts or scalito for lying to their congressional interrogators during their confirmation hearings, even though the motherfuckers lied through their fucking teeth.

We Are Sooooooo Fucked.
nothing anybody does is going to reverse the course of the SCROTUS toward authoritarianism. the oldest member of fascisti is Scalia who, at 71, can look forward to at least another 10-15 years fucking up the country...Roberts, the Chief, is only 52.

mebbe we could send 'em some blankets drenched in hanta virus...
