What is in a name? That which we call a terrorist By any other name would be just as scary.
Way back, between undergrad and law school, I did a stint as a bartender. The person who trained me said that the best way to check a photo ID was to compare the eyebrows. (I think he may have then gone on to MIT)
In the photos above – consider the differences. Not the “Just For Jihadists” dye job, but those physical differences:
Straight versus curved eyebrows
The distance between the eyes
Differences in the shoulder broadness
Facial hair that is growing where it did not before
Width of the nose bridge
Bulb at the end of the nose
Distance between the bottom of the nose to the top of the mouth
I certainly am in no position to determine if either of the two photos are those of Osama bin Laden. Either one of them could be "Dave.”
All I know is that the people who are now making that decision are the same ones who said there was a connection between Al-Qaeda and 9/11 and that there were weapons of mass destruction in Iraq.
So who are you going to trust? Them – or your own eyes?

...but it appears that those are the same clothes too! A bit faded in the 2nd pic, but that's what happens when you don't use the right washing powder (like Liquid Cheer for Colors), particularly when washing your linens and things. Not to mention the harsh environment of a safe house in Pakistan. Or Afghanistan. Or Detroit. Whatever.
Oh btw, its the ears that always tell. But you'd need a sideview for that. Yet he appears to have a smidgen of ears in pic #1 and none in pic #2. I'd say its at least a 1st cousin! But then, they're all 1st cousins. Keepin' it in the family....

really, the choice of clothes is orwellian in the extreme
it's been a long time, amurkins may have slightly forgotten the fear they have for Osama(TM) SuperEvilDood. so to make sure they know which Scary Brown Guy this is, they put him in the exact same outfit. now, if it's really him, you sort of have to ask: isn't it more likely this is from the same period as the other tape? wait- the new one is audio only, according to one winger site i was on recently, where are these pics from? or is that wrong, and there is both audio and video out there? and anyway, if i'm just being silly, have security experts told us the meaning of his new seeming interest in dressing in a theocratic uniform? has he taken on a religious title or something? that seems rather important, we'd want to know.
the branding of Emanuel Goldman for the 21st c. continues. I wonder how long before they make his eyes red and his nails turn into claws.
