AP: "Pope: Other Christians not true churches"

Snicker. We could have told him that. It’s that “other” part we still have trouble with. AP:

“Christ ’established here on earth’ [as opposed to Mars?] only one church,” the document said. The other communities “cannot be called ’churches’ in the proper sense” because they do not have apostolic succession — the ability to trace their bishops back to Christ’s original apostles.

The document said Orthodox churches were indeed “churches” because they have apostolic succession and that they enjoyed “many elements of sanctification and of truth.” But it said they lack something because they do not recognize the primacy of the pope — a defect, or a “wound” that harmed them, it said.

“This is obviously not compatible with the doctrine of primacy which, according to the Catholic faith, is an ’internal constitutive principle’ of the very existence of a particular church,” the commentary said.

Anybody notice a certain circularity in this logic?

And is anybody else reminded of the theory of the unilateral executive?

Basically, the Pope is putting the crown on his own head, just like Napoleon did. Wonder what Fat Tony thinks of all this?

Pope

And is anybody else reminded of the theory of the unilateral executive?

And I’m sure the Pope has said he’s a “uniter, not a divider.” Heh.

Anyone Notice The Pope has...a...resurrected the Latin mass?

Henceforth, it’s up to the priest if he wants to use it. I doubt that many know it by this time, but that version of the mass contains a whole lot of straight-up anti-semitism…big time.

I like this pope

Ex-nazi, so full of controversy, a real life troll. The way popes should be and be ultimately irrelevant.

And the Pope's going to Hell 'cos he prays to statues of Mary

So there, too. Nyaah!

…for the rest of us
