yep.

me too.

Me too

What doesn’t help me is the very public backing of David Bonior and others from JRE’s campaign endorsing Obama.

Edwards just said...

http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/…

“Well, I think right now Barack Obama has the better chance, because it looks like he’s going to be the nominee,” Mr. Edwards said. “But I think what he brings to the table is the capacity, No. 1, to unite the Democratic Party. No. 2, to bring in new voters, to bring in people who haven’t been involved in the process over a long period of time, and to get people excited about this change.”

The North Carolina primary was on Tuesday, Mr. Lauer said, trying again. “Who’d you choose?”

“I voted,” Mr. Edwards said, cracking a smile. “And I’m going to keep that between me and the polling booth right now.”

Mr. Edwards had kind words for both candidates, praising Mrs. Clinton’s “tenacity,” and suggesting that Mr. Obama is trustworthy.

Voters, he said, are “looking for a leader, a leader they can trust, and somebody who will fight for them every day, and I think Obama will do that.”

oh my god, edwards is part of the plot now

Edwards says positive things about Obama, who we learn in Correntewire, is an evil puppet of a diabolical unfriendly takeover of the Democractic party by forces so evil and so rightwing, that Fox and McCain are starting to look positively cool.

Maybe he took off the tinfoil hat in the shower and that’s when they got him?

Is that how they got to you Rootless?

Seems to me that ’out with the Bubbas’ came not from Corrente but from OpenLeft…just sayin’

if you ask me...

I think its far more significant that Edwards (and other prominent Democrats) are refusing to endorse Obama at this point, given all the “presumptive nominee” rhetoric, and Edward’s own acknowledgement of Obama’s “presumptive nominee” status.

I think Edwards probably voted for Clinton — Edwards has been a populist since forever, and sees the political map the same way the Clinton does. And Obama’s full scale assault on Clinton’s gas tax proposal not only showed that Obama doesn’t care what those “white working class voters” think, it showed that Obama’s political instincts suck.

I mean, seriously, imagine a gas tax holiday with a windfall profits tax on oil companies coming to the floor of the Congress right now. Do you really think that McCain and the GOP wanted to vote on something like that? That McCain wants to be given the choice of approving a “tax increase” or deal with questions of “fiscal responsibility” — let alone side with the oil companies against “hard working americans?”

So I think that Edwards made up his mind, but isn’t endorsing now because endorsements late in the game are meaningless — his endorsement wouldn’t have helped Clinton in NC by the time Edwards realized how bad Obama was, and publicly endorsing Clinton now won’t change the prevailing narrative.

Edwards voted for Obama and will endorse Obama

“I think Edwards probably voted for Clinton”

http://www.redlasso.com/ClipPlayer.aspx?…

Interviewer asks Edwards if its likely he will endorse the person that he just voted for:
Edwards: “I’d say that’s very likely. [interviewer interrupts/crosstalk] I just voted for him on Tuesday.” (emphasis added)

Well, you have to listen...

… and figure out whether Edwards says “him” or “’em.” IIRC, when the interviewer pushes him, he backtracks. In any case, I’m not hearing the word “endorse.”

[x] Any (D) in the general. [ ] ?????. [ ] Any mullah-sucking billionaire-teabagging torture-loving pus-encrusted spawn of Cthulhu, bless his (R) heart.

He said it was "very likely"

Whether or not he said “him” or “’em”, he did say, in response to a question, that it was “very likely” that he would endorse who he voted for.

If he did say “him” as most people heard (e.g., http://www.eschatonblog.com/2008_05_04_a…), then it is “very likely” he will Endorse Obama.

I don’t think his endorsement means much other than to those former Edward-ites who are supporting Clinton or Obama and want to know if they backed “the right horse.” However, it is a big deal to those people.

If he did say “him” as

If he did say “him” as most people heard

as with the Kantor video, people “hear” what they are told they will hear.

I thought I heard an “m”, but I didn’t remember whether it was at the end or in the middle of the word. I got the impression that Edwards caught himself in the middle of saying the word, and that’s why its so indistinct. And I still don’t hear the “m”…

Edwards said "them"

http://blogs.usatoday.com/onpolitics/200…

Bill Clinton for First Dude!!!

one question I don't remember him answering..

Did Edwards release his delegates?

When he suspended (yes, Suspended) his campaign, I heard nothing about their fate.

I only know that on the day B4 our county convention, he

asked them to stick by him.

hmmm....

so at least he’s keeping some sort of power to control. good on him.
