Color me not surprised. Off the top of my head, I can think of plenty of things Israel has done to make itself less and less defensible; shooting photographers, bombing civilian homes, locking up whistleblowers. So I suppose denying a visa to one nigger with some silly "peace" prize is par for the course:

He's got a blog, but I can't seem to leave any comments. It's not a bad speech, but a couple of points indicate to me that he still doesn't quite grok the nature of political and news blogging.
What does the future look like in a world in which the consumer has taken over the printing press, the dark room, the television studio? What does the result of a mash-up of professional and “amateur†actually look like?

This post is for the family of T, and his lover B. I know one of you skipped the "dry" holiday, and this is for the other one of you. Perhaps it'll help start the conversation that you want to have at the dinner table. Read below the fold...

Dennis throws his hat in the ring:
CLEVELAND - Democratic Rep. Dennis Kucinich, who unsuccessfully ran for president in 2004, said Monday he is planning to run again because his party isn't pushing hard enough to end the war in Iraq.
In a statement, Kucinich said he plans to formally announce his candidacy for 2008 on Tuesday at City Hall, where he served as mayor of his hometown in the 1970s.

And people tell me I'm a raving, foam at the mouth, drama queen?
When that happens, our movement will destroy itself, and our government will be as unresponsive as ever. Our work will have been for nothing. We can't allow that to happen. Read below the fold...

Frankly, I didn't care when they announced they were going to do it, and I hardly care more now that they have: the ISG is little more than a bunch of Old Time Hacks getting together and blowing hot air. It means nothing (esp. to Chimpy) and will accomplish nothing. However, there is still plenty of good reading sober minded folks should check out if they want to assess the war's progress. Keep in mind, this is only a list of exectutive administrative officials. Add in a little party wide perversion and fun characters like Bugboy, and you've got a pattern. Let us never deny, forget, or let others attempt to do so: name a vice, and you'll find it in today's Republican party. At your expense, I might add. Read below the fold...

It's simple. All life on earth begins and ends with the seas. When the seas die, we all die. The food chains and biospheres that exist today literally will not survive dead oceans. Without the little critters at the bottom of the ocean food chain, the whole ocean biosphere goes. That's what's happening.
There are times when I really grok Al Gore. "Run for President? Love to, but I've got more important things to do. Like, this last ditch attempt to save life on earth, n shit." Read below the fold...

Part the First. Xan notes:
Hamilton and Baker are backed by a 40-person media team operating out of a public relations firm and a hot-selling paperback edition of their report.
Their dawn-to-dark parade of interviews, in which they always appear as a pair to underscore their bipartisanship, will culminate with a run of the Sunday morning talk shows.

I'm leaving off names because it doesn't matter.
If you've ever been active on the left, you are frequently reminded of why certain stereotypes are grounded in reality. A famous quip about Democrats notes the lack of cohesion, of the disunity in purpose and direction in so many on our side. Who among us hasn't been bored to tears by the single-issue locutionist, who waxes loquaciously about some topic in equal parts volume and intensity, and who never manages to completely form a "question" to the panel, despite several paragraphs worth of effort?
