And once again our winner is: Mark Foley.

“Cruise”?? WTF!

But the weird thing about the quote is the context:

Foley says this in 2002 at a page good-bye ceremony, where Rep. John Shimkus, who is in charge of the Page Board, introduced Foley as “Now someone who spends a lot of time with you.”

And as AmericaBlog points out, this is after the Republican staffers knew that Foley had a problem, and had, in 2001, warned the pages about Foley.

Looks like Shimkus is pimping for Foley, doesn’t it? Maybe the idea of a Republican pedophile ring isn’t so farfetched after all.

NOTE But isn’t it great to see our deeply spiritual leaders, the Christianists, coming out in defense of children?

C’mon, guys, you’re supposed to be Christians. Suffer the little children, and all that.

But instead of thundering denunciations from the pulpit, what do we hear? ***crickets***
