ACLU reports that the Gov’t has already told them they’ll be taking it to the Circiut court this afternoon for an injunction.
ACLU Director Romero: Spectre’s bill is “window dressing.” He believes it won’t have much of an impact on this decision, or it’s chances of being overturned by the 6th circuit. “We will persue this as far as we need to.” Meaning, even to the SCOTUS.
ACLU Melissa Goodman: The state secrets part of this ruling is really significant. It’s a check on excessive claims of secrecy by the goverment.
