If you have "no place to go," come here!

Brooklyn!

The iPad doens't handle a lotta light here and not-so-much light there all that well, I find; since I've done most of my shooting with it outside, and most of that in my garden, I hadn't discovered that flaw 'til now. But I love it because with the big screen it's like working with a view camera or perhaps an old Speed Graphic. Still, as you see:

So, loft, art, funk, Brooklyn. Shoes for industry! And the quest for the mythical $1000 a month shoebox....

Are there no scene settings for the iPad's camera? Even my old camera, the digital equivalent of a Brownie, had a "backlight" setting, which would handle the situation where a bright light source is behind the subject. Admittedly, that old clunker would use flash for that setting even in broad daylight, but it could still handle scenes like this one pretty well.

... and that's about it. Maybe there's software that does it better, but I haven't found it yet.
