Derivative, I know. Big shout out to the MJS' dog Luna, an Australian Blue Heeler/And Something mutt beauty.
4 Things:
Last time I visited the Fafblog was a while ago, but it has always rocked the house and The Medium Lobster is in need:
As part of our ongoing mission to bring the best possible product to you the consumer, we here at Fafblog have spent the last several months poor, sick, and uninsured. Why? So that when we eventually write about it (“Single Payer Health Care Pie,†March 14; “Can’t Afford the Internet Pie†March 21; “Homeless and Destitute Pie,†April 23) we will have conducted the exhaustive research that our loyal readers demand.
Undo the negative perception of blog readers. Take the 2006 political blogs reader survey. Specify correntewire.com as the "referring site". You'll be glad you did.
Names and Faces. On my way home from work, I walked by a mobile installation called
"Soldiers' Faces and Iraqi Names". An LCD projector set on top of a minivan in a parking lot lights up the side of a building. Rotating photos of Soldiers from California and faceless illustrations denoting civilians who have died in the war in Iraq. The presentation is chronological, the dates progress from March, 2003 to February 2006. The good folks from Luna Media [I think that's their name. Bad blog reporter! Always carry a PEN!] will be showing this around San Francisco in remembrance of the beginning of the war.
A meme on it's way. Here's to it's success. Damn, that Lagunitas Hairy Eyeball Ale packs a wallop at 9% alcohol.
