Burning Banks, Burning Witches: Your Saudi Masters

Just because they’re my favorite people today, let’s review how much the Saudi government sucks. At least she didn’t turn him into a newt.

In a letter to King Abdullah, the rights group described the trial and conviction of Fawza Falih as a miscarriage of justice.

The illiterate woman was detained by religious police in 2005 and allegedly beaten and forced to fingerprint a confession that she could not read.

Among her accusers was a man who alleged she made him impotent.

Human Rights Watch said that Ms Falih had exhausted all her chances of appealing against her death sentence and she could only now be saved if King Abdullah intervened.

The folks who manage the “legal” system in which shit like this happens are also busy buying major American financial houses and are hip deep in our political process. “Theocratic royalist hypocritical misogynist hacks” doesn’t begin to describe a lot of them. I’ll get mad at a lot of groups, but lately it seems like the Princes are just out to get my attention, and so they have it. Why do we do business with these barbarians, again? The social contract that says “we have to” can be changed, motherfuckers. Can, has and will.

Like we always say...

“religious people are the best people.” We even have a Department tag for that, hint, hint.

judge not, vast

i chose TR on purpose. i already know what they think their wealth, “faith” and station mean w/r/t me, but i’m trying to say “people who do this and take part in the american political process are very troublesome, to long term prospects for equality here.”

Then of course there's

this:

Saudi Arabia’s rulers threatened to make it easier for terrorists to attack London unless corruption investigations into their arms deals were halted, according to court documents revealed yesterday.

Previously secret files describe how investigators were told they faced “another 7/7” and the loss of “British lives on British streets” if they pressed on with their inquiries and the Saudis carried out their threat to cut off intelligence.

But I think the Saudis have been misunderstood. All they really need is a great big hug, all of our money, and the rights to beat the shit out of people for nothing and call down terror on the West if they’re threatened with accountability.

Those last two things might explain why they call him “Bandar Bush.”

It definitely fits TR bigtime

No big deal, just suggesting that it might also fit RPATPB.

In fact, I was thinking about posting a RPATBP quickie on this story, but glad you’re writing more expansively about it.
