We knew that Christianists in the military put the country they're sworn to defend third on the list--and that they're using prayer as a decision making aid. (You can imagine the scale of the Iraq Clusterfuck
if God wasn't helping these people out, right?) Hear the cry of the loon:
“I found a wonderful opportunity as a director on the joint staff, as I meet the people that come into my directorate,” Air Force Maj. Gen. Jack J. Catton Jr. says in [Christian Embassy] video. “And I tell them right up front who Jack Catton is, and I start with the fact that I’m an old-fashioned American, and my first priority is [1] my faith in God, then [2] my family and then [3] country. I share my faith because it describes who I am.”
But Jack Patton is just some Pentagon bureaucrat.
But Bush said exactly the same thing on April 19 before that small, friendly crowd in Ohio:
[BUSH:] I emphasize, that is the priority for me as the President. It's [1] my faith, [2] my family, and [3] my country.
WTF
! Couldn't Bush at least put his country #2?
I can see why Bush would want to put family high on the list--after all, look what Jebbie did for him in Florida!
But putting family before country? The troops are putting country before family, so why does their commander-in-chief get to do the opposite?
Hey, and as for putting God #1--Look, I'm sure a loving and all-wise God wouldn't be planning Clusterfuckalypse Now! in the Middle East. So I won't worry about that. At all.
NOTE Funny how this remarkable statement got no play at all in our famously free press.
NOTE This is one obvious reason why we're going to have to clean all the Christianists out of the executive branch. With values like these, they can't be trusted to run a government that's supposed to be for all the people.

God and the clusterfuckalypse
Look, I’m sure a loving and all-wise God wouldn’t be planning Clusterfuckalypse Now! in the Middle East.
God sez, "Been there, done that". Remember, this is the same loving and all-wise God who drowned the entire population of the planet except for Noah and his arkmates because He thought that humans were screwing up His divine creation. A review of the Old Testament may be in order at this point.

This just goes to show -
Only atheists can be True Americans.
Because cult members always put their cult before our country.

Inside Christian Embassy
I'm not sure how the December story slipped by me. Here are a couple of the wtf quotes:
"Christian Embassy sees the top brass as its mission field
McCullough on Christian Embassy’s Pentagon presence: “At the Pentagon, we have a flag officers groups. Your stars, basically, 1-4 stars. We also have a disciple group at the pentagon. And there’s a general Bible study that meets Wednesday morning where 70-120 come. Most of our groups that we organize and work with are at the officer level. Flags, a good percentage. We have about 40 that come or are involved with that."
"Christian Embassy is closely involved with political and military officials. Those who work with Christian Embassy will typically meet in small groups, under the supervision of a counselor like McCullough, for an hour every week... The most committed participants may travel overseas on behalf of Christian Embassy or arrange their official government travel to leave time for evangelizing work. This work may sometimes be “covert,” such as a evangelizing in countries where it’s against the law."
Holy shit. Someone needs to throw the book at these officers. I'm very curious about whether some of these counselors have been given clearances for access to government and military offices/installations. I'd also like find out if Christian Embassy is claiming to be a tax exempt religious organization. In one breath they claim they're not a lobby and in the next describe how they function like one.

" [2] my family and then"
By these standards it is very possible that the unibomber would still be running around loose.
Obviously this also means that Niel can steal as much as he wants from "No Child left behind" since georgie believes that protecting his family is more important then upholding his oath of office.
Hmmmm Doesn't this create a case for violating ones wordto God when with hand upon the book of myths and fantasy ( bibble) he sworeto uphold the Contitution. By placing his cultist beliefs and related misgotten spawn of evil ahead of his oath doesn't that make him guilty of some mortal failureeven within the faulty and erractic system of beliefs he has?
bush and the delusionist threat to sanity and rationalism
all people who believe in a deity should be legally declared delusional. they should not be allowed to vote or handle their own affairs. they voted for bush over ABORTION and SANCTITY OF LIFE... but gave us iraq and half a million iraqi citizens dead and or maimed and disfigured, 3300 american soldiers dead and THOUSANDS horribly maimed and disfigured.... ALL FOR A LIE... SANCTITY OF LIFE MY ASS... people who believe in a deity can use that deity to justify ANYTHING. they should not be allowed to vote.
why would an ALL KNOWING, ALL LOVING, ALL SEEING, DEITY, NEED to create little FLAWED human beings to worship it? then if those flawed human beings succumbed to the temptations placed all around us by that deity, or failed to worship that deity in exactly the way some fat hick preacher with a bad hairdo says you should or some child molesting priestophile says you should, then that deity would burn you for ever????? in effect punishing you for ITS MISTAKE!! (not making you perfect in the first place and not just going ahead putting you in heaven, and making you come here first), then THAT DOESNT SOUND like any deity id like to hang out with.. as a matter of fact, that sounds like some control freak, manipulative, sadistic, stalker type deity and if confronted with it, id try to KILL IT IF I COULD!!! and i certainly dont want to hang out for eternity with people like jerry falwell or jimmy swaggart or pat robertson or george bush... and i wouldnt want to be a part of the ignorant masses cringing in fear of their ALL LOVING deity.
THE MESSAGE OF CHRISTIANITY IS: YOU WILL BURN IN HELL IF YOU DOUBT GODS "UNCONDITIONAL" LOVE.
and people who can rationalize that in their minds are MOTHERFUCKING DELUSIONAL.
