Bush to Congress: Try and stop me, bitches!

In stark contrast to the contrite emo-Bush of last week, the Smirk is back in Sunday's 60 minutes interview.

PELLEY: Do you believe as commander-in-chief you have the authority to put the troops in there no matter what the Congress wants to do?

BUSH: In this situation, I do, yeah. Now, I fully understand they could try to stop me from doing it. But I made my decision, and we're going forward.

Bush has nothing to lose. Unless there are elections in hell, he won't be running for office ever again. His poll numbers have been in the toilet for months. Public opinion is completely irrelevant to him.

The only leverage that will work is Congressional ACTION. Cutting off funds, rescinding authorization for military force and ultimately Chimpeachment. Anything less than this and Bush will do exactly as he pleases for the next two years. Starting a war with Iran is just the beginning.

Good reading! Favorite quote: What could go wrong?
Beyond war, inflation, the end of the technology/productivity wave, and financial collapse, we think the most potent and short-term threat would be societies demanding a more ‘equitable’ share of wealth.
