Most of the economic debate I hear swirling around, circling the left-right drain, noisily sucking human happiness, safety, quality of life, and chance to have a future down with it, ahem - boils down to “These rich should have less no they shouldn’t have less, these poor should have more no they shouldn’t have more.”
Even within the left wing of what’s left of the left, most talk I hear boils down to people saying and wishing that “These rich should have less and these others should have more”.
But how much should they, should everyone, have? Do we have a purpose beyond just conducting this emotive debate forever? Will we never endeavor to come down to earth and establish some actual numbers? Read below the fold...
