Oh it would be fun to see Texas do this: subdivide itself into 4 or 5 states, making the prospect of 8 or 10 new Republican senators from Texas so odious, that the US of A kicks them out of the union.
Cool - then second thing we do - make it illegal to import any textbooks or educational material from Texas. Yeehaw! (clap clap clap CLAP) Read below the fold...

Gee does anyone remember the Obama administration asking large defence companies to pretty please not announce any layoffs before the election? Well, Boeing obliged. Wonder how many more of these we'll see within the next few days? Read below the fold...

Bill Clinton! There is no ill so evil that Obama can't blame it on someone else. His followers clearly believe there is no wrong he can do that others have not done To HIM!!1! Read below the fold...

I'll spend the next 4 years saying or thinking "and NOW you're upset about it??!?" to every whining Democratic complaint about the WH administration. Because I know the biggest objections will be to things Obama is currently doing.
The good thing is, at least those objections will see the light of day. Whereas now, it's all ok because Obama is doing it. Read below the fold...

I just had to point out the spectacular lack of agency which Tom Tomorrow uses in his latest comic panel. I'll even put a link to the orange Satan here for you to see it. How terrible that drones are killing innocent people. Wonder who is doing that? Who needs to stop doing that?
I admit to being surprised to see anything faintly critical of the administration prior to the election. Read below the fold...

Watching Endeavour carried to its final resting place, in so many images and videos, was like seeing the funeral procession of all my hopes and dreams. It was like the death of JFK, which I only dimly perceived as a child, come fully to life in despair. Good bye and when will we see its like again? No commercial corporation will profit from a people's dreams. Only a nation can do that. Read below the fold...

The most recent example being the Violence Against Women Act.
What's the necessity of revisiting and redebating and revoting and spending taxpayer money to re-enact laws that have already be debated and passed?
Why would a law need a time limit? After some time, it will become OK to have assault rifles back on our streets, for another example? Read below the fold...

Literally.
Character assassination by muckraking the candidate's wife's horse is pretty lame. Surely Democrats can dig up some bad grades or pot smoking by his kids, some racist comment one of his adult relatives made? Let the vetting begin.
Because there really aren't any issues you can attack Romney on? It's tough to find a slam dunk against him? Even with his own conservative nuttery and misstatements to use? Really? Well then sling that mud and see if the sh*t sticks. Read below the fold...

Nancy Pelosi Slams Contempt Vote: 'I Could Have Arrested Karl Rove ... But We Didn't'
Well why the hell not? Gee, I'm sorry it takes time and effort to actually hold the executive branch accountable, but that's part of the f'ing job and the Democrats punted it. Just part of the reason they were voted out en masse at the last election.
So - is Issa holding Holder in comtempt partisan? Yes but that's what he's supposed to do. Frankly, the Fast and Furious program should be investigated - it was a travesty.
Of all the issues I wish congress would investigate, is this at the top of my list? No, but it's a legitimate issue. Read below the fold...

Loathsome though Fox News may be, they are right to point out how ridiculous is the corporate giveaway known as 'Obamacare.' Is it a mandate or a serf tribute? And at the end of the day, does it really matter? Even the Supreme Court justices seem to find this moot point faintly laughable. Oh well, who really cares anyway? Read below the fold...

This follow up to the useless Washington Post story of the former racist name of a camp is really all we need to know about the current state of 'journalism.'
Well, as you might expect, everyone within driving distance of Paint Creek, Texas, began the 2012 Primary Season's Quest To Find The Racist Rock! Reporters were apparently turned away by the angry property-owners, who admonished the reporters and "escorted them from the property."

Here's a truly disgusting display of cult-of-personality fanaticism from the Obama fan base. (linked by a commenter on Greenwald's post on the assassination of Al-Awlaki by the US today)
I'm sure these were the same Democrats clucking in dismay over the Republican debate crowd applauding the number of Texas executions.
And the same Democrats who bemoaned Bush's warrantless wiretapping of Amurikan citizens.
I guess it's not ok to listen in on phone conversations without due process but assassination of the same person would be fine, so long as the President declared him or her a personal enemy. Read below the fold...

Another wrong decision by our courts:
US Supreme court rejects California ban on violent video games
As a parent, I'm astounded by this assertion:
Speaking at the Supreme Court on Monday, Justice Antonin Scalia said: "Our cases hold that minors are entitled to a significant degree of First Amendment protection. Government has no free-floating power to restrict the ideas to which they may be exposed."
Um, Scalia, yes we do! Read below the fold...
