Clinton v. O'Reilly Predictions

BDBlue's picture

Clinton is on Bill O'Reilly tonight and tomorrow. I can't say I approve (although she'll get some points from me if her spokesman defends it by pointing out she went on Olbermann, heh). Any predictions about what she'll say? Will she:

a) Praise Republican ideas repeatedly,

b) Throw her most ardent supporters under the bus,

c) Take Fox on like that Obama guy did,

d) Apologize for having sent Howard Wolfson on to defend YearlyKos,

E) All of the above, or

F) None of the above.

We already know what she'll say about Wright, via Talk Left:

O'Reilly: "Can you believe this Rev. Wright guy? Can you believe this guy?"

Clinton: "Well, I'm going to leave it up to voters to decide."

O'Reilly: "Well, what do you think as an American?"

Clinton: "Well, what I said when I was asked directly is that I would not have stayed in the church.

O'Reilly: "You're an American citizen, I'm an American citizen, He's an American citizen, Rev. Wright. What do you think when you hear a fellow American citizen say that kind of stuff about America."

Clinton: "Well, I take offense. I think it's offensive and outrageous. I'm going to express my opinion, others can express theirs. It is part of just, you know, an atmosphere we're in today."

If you watch the video, Bill O'Reilly keeps pushing her to criticize Wright. I'm sure she'll be hammered for not defending Wright (even though Obama has stopped) and even more so for not helping Obama out of this mess he created, but I thought she was quite restrained in her criticism. Which, of course, is the smart political play, so I'm not giving her nice points. Just smart points.

As it was with Obama, it's depressing to see Clinton go on Fox. It will be even more depressing if she spends her time talking about how great the Republicans ideas for deregulation are.

Prediction

The blogger boiz will interpret something she says as "proof" that she will "say or do anything to win". I also predict with a high degree of confidence that at least one blogger boi will say something to reveal their moronacy.

Other possibilities:

- Aravosis claims Hillary is hatin' on gay folk (7:2).
- Hillary is criticized for being a racist (1:1).
- WWTSBQ? (1:1)
- Stoller: Hillary is running an even more Republican campaign than we thought (5:2).
- Kevin Drum: I was embarrassingly wrong in my previous assessment, but pretend to recant and do it all over again...and again...and again...and again (3:1).
- Yglesias: It's time for smart people to explain to Hillary and her supporters why they should support Obama (5:1)
- Chris Matthews gets a thrill up his leg, but not from Hillary's interview, from looking at a picture of Obama in his wallet (1:1).
- No fewer than 3 prominent so-called liberal bloggers contradict themselves (1:1)

Only tyrants rig elections.

sweetness and light--

she's catching flies with honey -- and succeeding -- when it comes to FOX, and Scaife and Murdoch, and the whole rightwing noise machine.

Also, it practically and very visibly demonstrates the "sitting down with everyone" thing Obama talks about, but has never done. FOX had a clock running for 2 years of Obama dodging them.

I predict

El Falafel will wimp like KO, Hillary will be charming, the Boiz will be in Maximun Panty-Twist mode.

As my good friend Will once said "Sound and fury, signifying nothing."

Hillary on Fox

Ok gqmartinez--am still laughing over this one- Chris Matthews gets a thrill up his leg, but not from Hillary’s interview, from looking at a picture of Obama in his wallet (1:1).
LOL

My prediction is she will be relaxed and happy, and will take all the punches and toss them back at those guys without them knowing about it, thus confuddling the entire media that is pissed that FOX is now considered more credible than them and the mainstream media will be torn in their desire to point out Hillary won FOX argument, and need to eviscerate a Clinton, god can't have happy American's, tragedy is so much better to cover.

Here is a link to a pro Hillary blog that has some great Youtube videos including the sister sledge one "We are family" highlighting Obama's crazy "uncle's" and political "cousins"

“But Obama has rejected any solution based solely on the statewide outcome of the Florida and Michigan primaries.
"Our response to that has been essentially crickets chirping," said Kirk Wagar, Obama's finance director.”

O'Reilly also needs to prove he's not like

the MSNBC boys--i bet he gets all charming and gentlemanly with her. And since she's been avoiding MSNBC recently, FOX should be very pleased to begin with.

HuffPo has declared that HRC won't...

rip BillO a new one the way that Obama did to Chris Wallace (as long as you closed your eyes real tight and imagined real hard, of course): http://www.huffingtonpost.com/seth-grahamesmith/excerpts-from-hillarys-in_b_99300.html

Wow, Satire Ain't What It Used to Be

Does that HuffPo piece even qualify as satire? Or any kind of humor? I'm beginning to think Obama supporters have their sense of humor removed in the same ceremony where they sacrifice their internet reading skills.

Are you going to rescue us from the Blogger Boiz' bad humor with your own post, vastleft, like the one you did with Obama and Wallace? Pretty please.

Thank you humoured humor

I have noted the entire 1)lack of humor that obamakins have many times. Reading satire in the huffington post only confirms their 2)inability to be funny, which could be why 1) which leads to 2) which is again 1) then 2) and then 1) which.....

Jeqal: Do you remember Stephen Colbert's

take-down of the Washington Press Corps?

They didn't get it, and the initial stories said he bombed because no one was laughing.

Then the rest of us got to watch the video, and it was an isntant classic!

No I don't myiq2xu but here is a link

I missed that but I rarely watch TV, so it is not surprising.
Is this link the one you are talking about?

Fox Hunting

Given how badly the supposed actual news networks have treated Hillary, I understand why she can't be bothered to boycott Fox: from her pov, what's the difference? They are all Fox.

An excuse Obama doesn't have.

Every time Hillary faces one of these faux-tough guys

they wimp out. KO was the most recent example.

There is an expression that goes "________-whipped"

they say FOX has actually not at all been as bad

as MSNBC--they're reflexively anti-Democrat, but not exclusively anti-Clinton. I don't know tho--i refuse to turn it on.

Ever since she ran for Senator first time, she's been cultivating better coverage from Murdoch--it's worked a little, and they've had bigger concerns like propping up Bush/Iraq/blablabla for years.

Early Report - She Defended Universal Healthcare

The Republican bitch. If this is true, she only did it to make Obama look bad. She does everything to make Obama look bad. Waaaaah!

Yes, she defended Universal Healthcare

She was flawless tonight. I hope the second half shows her in comparable form.
