I guess that Wal-Mart tomatoes just magically appear.

I notice that the author slangs everyone but Wal-Mart. He lost total credibility with me by not being able to track down Wal-Mart's magically appearing tomatoes.

Yes, I support the farm workers. In the 1962 or 1963, I "followed the crops" for a summer.

The only thing worse that I have ever done for work was roofing houses in Phoenix, AZ, in the summer.

also, walmart appears to be trying to buy more local produce for their stores, so maybe they're not a significant customer of the growers in south florida.
