Technical support request

I broke the latch on my Mac Air, and now the screen part must be propped up. Worse, it seems to have affected the display mechanism so that everything has a red tinge and blue is hardly displayed. Annoying and hard on the eyes.
Anyone have a fix for this?
Or alternatively, is anyone in a position to contribute to my repair fund?

Advice and a contribution would be best
but I don't have any advice. If somebody else does, put this toward steel wool and peppermint.
Re: Advice and a contribution would be best
thank you! thanks to anyone who can contribute. It is difficult to manage on a laptop that glows red.

Please DC Blogger. Learn how to care for your toys. Rich people can afford to be careless, we poor people cannot. Mac Airs are miracles of packaging but they cannot be so light and rugged at the same time. It's one of the reasons I don't own one—I have very large hands and even when I am being very careful, I can break things.
I know how to fix Macs if the problems are software related. But for whatever reason, you have a hardware problem. Only Apple or a certified dealer can fix your such a problem.
I got a Mac Air last year...
... and the space key now has a big white area where my thumb strikes it, and the power cord is beginning to fray. I love my Mac Air too, and the light weight really makes a difference to my back, but I don't think it's built to last forever...
Did you see a genius yet?
That doesn't sound too expensive to fix. Sometimes if you stare at them with puppy eyes and say you need to submit your application/taxes/book proposal by Friday, they take pity on you.
Re: Did you see a genius yet?
that is a thought. And indeed, I will have to be more careful of my laptops. One of the consequences of this is that the laptop stays on my desk, rather than carted around the apartment wherever I want to work.
