Medicare for All would save $350 billion a year (study in New England Journal of Medicine).
In 2003, a young Illinois state senator named Barack Obama told an AFL-CIO meeting, "I am a proponent of a single-payer universal healthcare program*." -- Bill Moyers.

Ugh, the toxicity of his brain -- declare it a superfund site. Move along, folks, there's nothing here to see.
Reminds me of the...
... New Statesman article that said something to the effect that America was going through a collective misogynistic hysteria regarding Sen. Clinton similar to McCarthyism and various other mass "scares" that have occurred throughout our history. Win or lose, one thing I do know is that years from now the media coverage of Sen. Clinton and behavior of certain public figures will be regarded with a mix of wonderment and the deepest sort of social shame and embarrassment. Many otherwise, great figures (male and female) in both media and politics have left a permanent record that will tarnish whatever legacies they manage to leave behind. What will be rather interesting is watching the rewriting of history and the rush by those same figures/offenders to point the blame elsewhere and try to create a single McCarthy-like figure or figures that they'll allege, "were really behind it all."

"a dour and bitter woman filled with arrogance, spite, jealousy
and all manner of evil"
Projection, much?
Well the quote was warning enough I suppose
But that little piece of CDS porn was a little more than I bargained for.
Reminded me of LGF.

I'm not such a bad guy once you get to know me.
What a coincidence
The deranged hatred of Hillary Clinton has been manufactured by David Axelrove in much the same way he did so for Deval Patrick against Kerry Healy (also a female).
By the time Axelrove was finished with Healy, she too was reduced to a loathsome characterful that the masses thought deserved to be beaten with a stick.
Now, if Axelrove is capable of doing the same thing to the much loved and respected John McCain, you know you've just stepped into the Twilight Zone.

Got any links on Axelrod and Kerry Healy?
That would be interesting. Makes things seem a lot more cold-blooded and systematic, eh?

"First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, then you win." -- Mahatma Gandhi
I'm from MA, but I'm much more focused on national politics
As I desperately didn't want another GOP governor, I wasn't too favorably inclined toward Healy, who came across as just another power-to-the-powerful Repub. I listened to a couple of speeches from her, and I knew she was not going to become the second Repub I ever voted for (I prefered Bill Weld over Reagan Democrat John Silber).
In the primary, I much preferred Chris Gabrieli, who came across as a capable technocrat. But, then again, I'm a racist. Remarkably, though, I did vote for Deval Patrick -- did I ever have to live that down at my Klan meetings!
I am curious now, about whether the Axelrod squad did do any of their sharp elbows stuff on Healy. Might be a predictor about how they'd face off with McCain.
I'm not sure if they only open the whoop-ass on fellow Dems like Alice Palmer, Blair Hull, and Hillary....
I was't aware there's a pattern to the Hillary Hatred, misogny
Do you have any links easily at hand about what they did to a female opponent?
Wow!
