Cowboys With Romo: Yes, They Can Win!

Sunday night is football night.

Despite playing with a heavily-wrapped (recently broken) fourth finger on his right hand -- and in spite of pitching a couple of first-half interceptions, both intended for Terrell Owens -- Tony Romo led the Dallas Cowboys back into the "win" column.

It wasn't a sure thing. It didn't look great for Cowboys fans at the end of the 3rd quarter. But with a passing game that works, you can get a running game untracked -- if you've got a decent running back. Marion Barber is a pretty good running back. Oh, and it helps if you've got some pass-catchers and defenders, too.

Razzing my grandson, a huge Dallas fan

I decided to refer to a slow motion replay involving Terrell Owens and Tony Romo and a dropped pass as a "Ro-mo-T-O-Oh-No!-Slow-Mo."

He's 11, and found that amusing in spite of his partisan dedication. Not sure why I bring it up here, but somehow it seemes appropriate.

I confess last night I was otherwise engaged

a very rare family gathering, so I only got to see the last six plays of the ball game. They looked pretty good to me. :*)

We can admit that we’re killers … but we’re not going to kill today. That’s all it takes! ~ Captain James T. Kirk, Stardate 3193.0

a win is a win

(oh, wait...I'm not supposed to think that way, am I?)

Niners won big so that was good as a change of pace, I'm a huge Mike Singletary fan and am beyond delighted to see him kicking the butts of this bunch of spoiled underachievers.

SF beat the Rams 35-16 and it wasn't even that close, but while the boys were jumping around in the locker room high-fiving themselves Singletary gave a press conference themed around how the team had not come close to meeting his expectations and weren't tough enough physically or mentally to finish the game as crisply as he expects.

Would not want to be part of next week's two-a-days, there will be some tongues dragging in the dirt by the end of the day. I am so loving this experiment in tough love.
