US and NATO are huddling to discuss an “official” US military invasion of Syria to bring down Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad.
Obama announced the possibility of a direct attack on Syria at Monday night's press conference.
Johannes Stern of wsws writes:
Senior US officials said that contingency plans for US intervention in Syria include scenarios requiring tens of thousands of American troops.

Okay, my first selected title of this blog was a tad too long but let me repeat it here:
“Blood-Bathed Syria Loses Info War To Serial Deceit of Morally & Militarily Unhinged (But Murderous) US/Israel/NATO”
Fasten your seatbelt if there’s the remotest chance your mind and heart are open to reality re the latest amoral outrage going on in Syria. It’s going to be a bumpy ride. Of WW III proportions. (I wish I were being hyperbolic.)

The president of a large health care union local made an unprecedented move last week to get support for legislation to temporarily relax nurse-to-patient ratios at California hospitals during meal and rest times.
I woke up Sunday AM and by habit, tuned in to CBS news radio. The dulcet tones of news guy Harley Carnes related how radioactive bluefish tuna swam all the way from Japan to our west coast. And then he told us not to worry; the fish were perfectly OK to eat since the added radioactivity was only 2% of what occurs naturally.
You first, Harley.
I tried to find a verifying transcript, but all I could locate was this thread comment on an obscure site:
but harley carnes on kcbs said it was ok to eat, according to the "official"

The 25th summit of NATO was held in Chicago.
What did it mean? I mean REALLY mean for us bottom and captive 99 percenters in the U.S. and in the world at large?

Occupy Wall Street (OWS) raises the issue of emerging oligarchy based on wealth inequality taking control of democracies worldwide through a small global elite composed of the very rich, powerful corporate executives in financial multinationals and other global conglomerates, and their allies in international financial organizations like the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the World Bank, and the Bank of International Settlements. Bill Quigley has taken a hard and well-researched look at Obama’s continuation and escalation of what Quigley terms the “draconian domestic civil liberties intrusions pioneered under the Bush administration” (involving freedoms of speech, of assembly of association, to privacy, to a fair trial, of religion, etc.).
Quigley's article is a strong rejoinder to so much of the myopic, Obamacrat hype about Obama being the lesser of two evils. He only appears to be the lesser of two evils in the hypocritical talk Obama talks and guaranteed will be talking much more of in his ever-intensifying “Lucy and the football” campaign mode.
