Phony health care campaign under way
The January/February 2009 issue of Vanguard, newsletter for MARSP (Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel), included an article about a campaign, "Divided We Fail," an initiative to give voice to Americans for health-care reform. The "Divided We Fail" campaign turns out to be a covert attempt by America's health insurance plans, the insurance industry trade group, including the Business Round Table, AARP, and industry lobbying groups. They are bringing back the "Harry & Louise" ads that torpedoed health-care reform 16 years ago. They aren't about to give up their big subsidies. They have conned citizens through "Divided We Fail" to gain citizen support.

Thanks for drawing a direct line between Big Bipartisanship and Big Death-By-Spreadsheet. We're all shocked, shocked, eh?
