Time after time after time, discredited GOP stars rise again -- and ruination follows after, on a pale horse.

John McCain's top economic adviser? Phil Gramm, than whom you cannot get more FITH
.
Yeah, that would be the ex-TAMU (sorry, Aggies) economics professor once famed as "the meanest man in the US Senate."
From the department of "even a blind hog finds an acorn once in awhile," Huffington Post's Mark Kleiman gets it right this time "Keith Olbermann actually managed to break some hard news: at the very time former Senator Phil Gramm was helping to craft John McCain's "hands-off" policy toward the mortgage crisis, Gramm was a registered lobbyist for the Swiss bank UBS, which just happens to be hip-deep in bad paper."
Then the story on Scott McClellan's tell-all book (tell all what? Did Sucker MC say anything The Daily Howler hadn't been telling us, with references, for years?) blew out of all proportion. How come? So the news that St. John McSame had Phil Gramm advising him on economics while Gramm was a lobbyist for UBS.
Meet the new GOP puppet -- same as the old GOP puppet.

Mr Enron
wow
I am surprised anyone would be seen with him in public
OT, RBC meeting on C-Span1 tomorrow a.m.
I love this job!
I'm embarrassed to say
that until the last week, I thought Phil Gramm was dead. Hey, what can I say, I don't pay any attention to the McCain campaign.
gramm is not McCain's top econ advisor
John McCain’s top economic adviser?
"Gerry Parsky, who serves as a senior economic advisor to John McCain's presidential campaign, is a partner with California-based Aurora Capital Group. In the 1970's, Parsky was an official at the Federal Energy Office and served as the Assistant Secretary for International Affairs at the U.S. Department of the Treasury. "

and while McCain's economic team is frightening, Obama's is nearly as scary -- with social security privatizer Austan Goolsbee leading the way.
If McCain is president, we'd know what to expect, and what we'd have to fight. With Obama listening to people like Goolsbee, we'll get a stealth version of the further destruction of the social safety net.
Not much of a choice if you ask me.
fighting goolsbee is going to be difficult
he's a rock star in his own right, especially among the younsters.
