Double digits

BTD.

You can start holding Obama's feet to the fire right now, progressives!

Before Obama works the phones to get another trillion allocated without knowing who's getting it, why they're getting it, where it's going to go, or when it's all going to happen. Or what the Fuck.

Right now!?

Before the 2012 election? Are you crazy?

Dykester's picture

But no!

The way I hear it around where I live and work: if so many people like what he's doing and saying, then there's no reason to hold his feet to the fire to do anything differently. You see, the majority already likes him enough to elect him. We only get to hold his feet to the fire when the majority doesn't like him, unless that means we negatively affect his ability to get the majority to like him enough to elect him.

I think the short version (again, as least as I hear it around where I live and work) goes something like this: STFU and send him more money!! But I also hear from his local supporters that I'm way too leftist and cynical to live in this country, so no one should listen to me.

So, we only get an accountability moment?

Is that the idea?

Obama is losing fans.

Talked to the husband who owns the store where I work tonight. He thinks the dems are selling us down the river - his wife likes Obama but less enthusiastically.

Pretty much agreed that neither party is worth much at all these days.

They were both HUGE Obama supporters in the purge.

He may be losing fans...

... yet still gaining votes.

I'd call that a healthy development.

I call it desperation,

which may or may not be healthy.

I find BTDs statement presumptuous.

It's over. I believe several former dem candidates enjoyed a double digit lead and were unable to win the elections. Kerry, Dukakis - to name a few.

It's not over...

...until the election is rigged on November 4th.

Good reading! Favorite quote: What could go wrong?
Beyond war, inflation, the end of the technology/productivity wave, and financial collapse, we think the most potent and short-term threat would be societies demanding a more ‘equitable’ share of wealth.
