E Coli Republicans -- Another Failure

As this fine editorial (scroll down) suggests, the Lessons Learned from Upton Sinclair’s “The Jungle” have been forgotten — if not deliberately,
still with devastating consequences for the US.

Jobs lost. Unsafe food. Torture. Mortgage crisis. Dollar tanking.
Habeas corpus gone; the Constitution undermined.

Mission accomplished indeed, W.

The kind of headline I like to see (though I hate it as news).

It’s fine, I suppose, that Big Food, like any other corporation, treats my body as a “human resource” to be infested with advertising jingles and other flora that make me desire their products.

But do they have to fucking poison me?
