Essentialism...

Not a good -ism, even when it's "good for our side."

Seriously, is "evolutionary psychology" anything more than a collection of "Just So" stories? Not written nearly as well as Kipling's?

Just sayin'.

Just sayin'.

Well, at least I had the pleasure...

i don't know about the "essential" or

"evolutionary" part, but psychology in itself is immensely important -- it's enormously valuable in understanding why so many people, and certain things are the ways they are -- and also how and why changes and progress can be "sold", and rendered appealing--and maybe even put into practice.

It's a gigantic part of how and why Obama became our new president, for just one big and very important example.

would this be considered "evolutionary" ? --

(it's definitely about group psychology formed by history, and how that affects stuff)
