Even NPR is teh suck

Believe it or not, they're having a weeklong series on Civility and The Greatness of Teh Bipartisan. (The series is called Crossing the Divide.)

Here's a sample of it: "Pelosi has to be ready to lose on occasion." Believe it or not, that would be "genuine leadership." (This when Bush's popularity is tanking and we control both Houses of Congress.) Apparently, there are "grand bargains" to be had on Social Security. (Translation: Let the Republicans keep on looting. After all, after lying, it's what they do best!)

Fuck. I care about results. I think the American people do, too.

So which'd you rather? What The Aristocrats in the Beltway want? Or what you need? Say, universal health care?

Personally, I care about restoring Constutional Government. That means that the Republicans and their entire apparatus and all their vile works need to be stomped into the ground and thoroughly repudiated.

Then, we can talk about Bipartisanship.

Good reading! Favorite quote: What could go wrong?
Beyond war, inflation, the end of the technology/productivity wave, and financial collapse, we think the most potent and short-term threat would be societies demanding a more ‘equitable’ share of wealth.
