One of the things we talk about a lot around here* is that electoral victory by the Democratic Party is not enough to fix to what ails this country.

Without electoral AND ideological change, the progressive policies that benefit us all will never become reality.

So it is also necessary to defeat the right-wing ideology that the Conservative movement has made dominant in our national discourse.

Progressive blogs in general and this blog in particular are huge part of that daily struggle.

The key to the effectiveness of blogs like this is that we are not restricted by allegiance to any political campaign or corporate funding source.
