Watch the skies… At FDL, of course (though, as Eschaton says, no direct links so their servers don’t crash).
UPDATE Man, I’m watching FDL and imagining what the server usage graphs are looking like. The admin is shutting down feature after feature just to bring us the one or two words of the verdict… The JPGs just went… Now it’s down… Now up… Atrios is live-blogging….
UPDATE (Cf. Amos 5:24).

Authoritarian scum held accountable at last
May this be the first of many.

Happy happy joy joy
The resident ex-republican can’t quite overcome the old instincts and is grumbling “This is no big deal. One lousy staffer. Charges not that important.”
To which I pause in the Happy Dance to point out, at considerable volume, that this sort of thing—lying to investigators and Grand Juries and such—was once thought important enough to fucking impeach presidents over.
He had the good grace to look abashed. Damn them for doing this at noon though; no WAY can one justify cracking open long-stored alcoholic beverages this time of day on a work day no less.
Oh well. They will taste all the sweeter tonight. :)
Heck, let's throw in a blink tag
’Cause it looks like the whole site is doing the happy dance!

Toasting
Here’s to justice. One down.
Cheney, the cretin in chief and the rest of the war criminals to go.

A picture's worth
But I still believe
And I will rise up with fists!!
JOM is in full meltdown mode
It’s strange how authoritarian cultists object when their oxen get gored by the very system that IS America - justice under a rule of law.
Jake
JOM?
Huh?

Tom Maguire and Clarice Feldman - although the site is Tom’s, Clarice has been the goto spinner of choice.
I know that many on the right are deeply disappointed, but they take solace in the opportunity for appeal - or retrial - and in the fact the Fitzgeral isn’t going after the P and VP. Somehow they imagine that toasting Libby
only is a major disappointment to the left.
I think we need to redefine BDS as that that syndrome exhibited by people who can’t see that Bush et al are not only incompetent, but criminal as well. They would rather completely discount the judgement of 11 men and women, all of whom appear to have dealt with the facts as fairly as possible, than accept that Scooter was guilty. Why? Because even they know, in their heart of hearts, the Scooter IS this administration. Regardless of what happens with Cheney and Bush, they know that this administration has now been branded as criminal not only by the left, but by the law. No wonder they can’t accept the verdict.
Jake
From the looks of it,
From the looks of it, you’re doing just fine.
We needed that
And right you are, Jake, the right is going to be erasing as fast as they can, it’s kind of fun to watch. Makes my day.
And boy, did I need a day made by Actual, Real Justice
.

The Verdict Has Come
Today has been a good day for truth, justice, and the American way.
Fuck, Lambert.
You’ve got Moet in front of like, five Linux manuals?
You are seriously making me hot. What are you wearing? Can we sip bubbly by the fire and share urgent whispers about protocol stacks?
(I love you, Lambert.)

Just don't ask me to measure for you, blue gal
Or, as an old National Lampoon comic had it once: “They’re nice boys, but they’re still thinking in terms of inches.”
And the Mac! Don’t forget the Mac!

new feature needed at corrente:
a “comfort room.” measuring optional.
Ooooh.
I’m all about Comfort Room, baby. Lambert, move your Newtons in the direction of my Mass and we’ll call it a Joule. No measuring required. xoxo
P.S. Bring the Mac.

"My Newtons"?!?
I love my Mac, but I was passionate about my Newton. That thing had the only time-tracking software I’ve ever found usable, and it paid for itself in about a month….
Or did you have some other kind of Newton in mind?
No authoritarians were tortured in the writing of this post.
Lambert, I think I got yer passion right here.
Time-tracking software? You stud!
Is this what you’re talking about?
By the way, for most of us girls, twenty-two minutes (on average) works out just about right. Set your Newton.
Love,
Blue Gal

Not just one?
This, actually.
I paid a lot more for my Newton than $15, though. I still have it carefully preserved in bubble wrap… Though I have a vague memory that Apple—fucking Apple—soldered a battery onto the motherboard so that you had to buy a new one after X amount of time…
No authoritarians were tortured in the writing of this post.
That's the one I picked first.
Figgers you’d go for the 11” cut and excellent top model.
And you know it’s getting late when I start linking to my own comments elsewhere on a blog. Good night, muffin. xxx (no tongue)

Aw, Lambert, anything soldered ...
Can always be replaced. Buy a couple non-cherry ones off Ebay, for practice, and (ahem) look into a battery socket/adaptor from Radio Shack. {:o)>
