prayer smackdown
the far right wants god to smite their candidate dead [but only after jan 20].
WTF
I read on all the blogs that "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED". Obama apparently has now secured 510 electoral votes and it was all over in a landslide. (I dare you to google news for "Obama landslide")
What the hell does he need more money for?
Money money money
It's clear why he needs more money. He needs it to buy advertising to give back to the networks that have given him so much already. Think about it. How much of the half a billion dollars has he given to the media this election cycle? Not to mention all those 527s that he [snort] abhors. Oh yeah, and Warren Buffet pitched in $3 billion to GE as well. Ya know, it kinda reminds me of how Murdoch subsidized really crappy news orgs for so long. So it goes.
I think I get the reference...
[ ] Very tepidly voting for Obama [ ] ?????. [ ] Any mullah-sucking billionaire-teabagging torture-loving pus-encrusted spawn of Cthulhu, bless his (R) heart.
"First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, then you win." -- Mahatma Gandhi
Good question.
What the hell does he need more money for?
Won't be to pay off someone else's debt, will it?
No wonder those volunteers are so committed.
:)
Perhaps he could save some money
by closing his headquarters in Palo Alto. Why does he need an office here, Palo Alto is already Obama Central?
Palo Alto
Ha. Real estate is expensive there, even renting it. As I recall, they had a quite large office on El Camino. When I left, they were not yet sharing the resources with the county Party so they had to foot a large bill there.
The Clinton camp new how to do things in that area. It was clear she was going to win the county (she took Santa Clara by 15 or so) so they didn't have major offices in the southbay, but relied on regular phone-banking parties at free locations. Having money and infinite resources doesn't mean you are running an efficient campaign.
Definitely expensive rent
That's why I was wondering. The office on El Camino is still there, just drove past it today (on my way to Whole Foods;). There are no indicators of Democratic party just of Obama headquarters signs.
It would have been more expedient to base the headquarters in San Jose - more central to large Hispanic community. There is nobody left to impress in Palo Alto, Los Altos, Menlo Park, Atherton or Mountain View (Google headquarters) - majority of the population is pro-Obama.
