Thanks to alert reader Valley Girl, we've got Helen Hunt's, er, characterization of HMOs on YouTube:
CAROL: Fucking HMO bastard piece of shit... I'm sorry... forgive me.DR. BETTES: No. Actually, I think that's their technical name.
Although that's the part the audiences cheered, I think the best part is the part where Hunt and the neighbor woman laugh with hysterical joy at the idea that anybody can get lab test results back the same day.
And this "fucking HMO bastard piece of shit" is the FAIL of a health "care" system -- the system where insurance company accountants deny care for profit -- that the Democrats want to put back in place in HR3200, rather than even consider single payer.
One thing I know is that we didn't give the Dems control of the House and Senate in 2006, and control of the Presidency and a filibuster-proof majority in 2008, so they could guarantee the insurance companies a market, force us all into HMOs again, then leave 10 million out, and call that universal care. By 2013.
Fucking Dem bastards pieces of shit. This is as good as it gets?
NOTE Incidentally, I note in IMDB that the movies's popularity rose 26% last week. I wonder why?
NOTE Do feel free to characterize the Democratic bills, and the HCAN't talking points generally, using "As Good As It Gets." Because one thing you can be sure of: By the time the Senate gets through with it, it's going to be worse.
UPDATE And see Susie here.

Exhibit A for Uniquely American
I saw this for the first time last week, and immediately thought it should go viral as Exhibit A for the Uniquely American healthcare system. You notice how Helen Hunt bitterly clings to her employer's health insurance in the face of the notorious single-payer, Mr Udall? Okay, I'd worry about Jack Nicholson paying for my kid's health care too, but Uncle Sam - he'll do.
