Good news for Obama in Florida!

vastleft's picture

I've been concerned that Obama's attempts to suppress/steal primary votes in Florida could cost him in the general election, but thanks to this e-mail thread (newest posts first) from the Sarasota for Obama mailing list, it appears there's literally nothing Obama can do to dissuade at least some Sunshine Staters from his cause.

I second that! Take your negativity somewhere else. Barak Obama and JFK walk in the same shoes. Obama is going to be the next president of the United States! YES WE CAN!

"What Barack Obama did here was wrong and destructive. He's supporting a bill that is a full-scale assault on our Constitution and an endorsement of the premise that our laws can be broken by the political and corporate elite whenever the scary specter of The Terrorists can be invoked to justify it. What's more, as a Constitutional Law Professor, he knows full well what a radical perversion of our Constitution this bill is, and yet he's supporting it anyway. Anyone who sugarcoats or justifies that is doing a real disservice to their claimed political values and to the truth." --

sarasota, eh? i thought all the scientologists were in clearwater. maybe fark is right about florida...

hey, rasmussen has a poll up with data that shows mccain's support going UP here by proposing offshore drilling. wow! you think we could sell the sand and the palm trees too?

florida was plunged into some circle of hell back during the 2000 recount and never emerged. the 2008 presidential election is already over here, anyway - the democrats threw away hillary's 3 point lead over mccain and replaced it with obama's nearly 10 point deficit. it's not even going to be close. the electoral map will show solid red down the east coast from DC and across the gulf coast.. .solid red all the way to new mexico (if that holds for the democrats). it's the obama 48 state strategy.

see y'all in four years. oh, that's right - i'm gonna retire and blow this pop stand of a state before that. my sentence is almost up.
