Which William Kristol knew full well back in the early 90's
when he wrote his now infamous memos telling the Repubs that it was an existential matter for them to defeat the Clintons' healthcare plans, that if it passed the Dems would be in power for the next few generations.
They will be just as eager to defeat any UHC now--but perhaps numbers (filibuster proof Senate, enough Dems from the Democratic Wing of the Democratic Party in office?) and our current economic situation may be more than the Repubs can handle.
But, about those Blue Dogs...?
