To be fair to the Obama administration, it's clear their top priority is saving corporate profits so it's not "technically" a FAIL from their point of view.

Medicare for All would save $350 billion a year (study in New England Journal of Medicine).
In 2003, a young Illinois state senator named Barack Obama told an AFL-CIO meeting, "I am a proponent of a single-payer universal healthcare program*." -- Bill Moyers.

There it is again...
"Health insurance reform" crafted by the people at AHIP.
I didn't know Obama had a good week. Is he talking about the journalists(which was very good), or health insurance reform?
Medicare for All is Civil Rights
For more talk about health INSURANCE reform,
go take a gander at the president's weekly address, which is posted at TL.
We should all be greatly relieved to know that the reform effort will be putting us all in charge of our own insurance. No, not our care, our insurance.
It's unbelievably bad.
The president has a pretty good week?
What did I miss?
Helen Thomas is a wonder. Even though she shrinks in her chair with every view we see of her, she is a giant in terms of journalism.
God bless her!

He had the kind of week Bush dreamed about!
Having a beer with a notorious racist!
Helen said Obama is naked
Helen Thomas lays the blame where it belongs: Obama. With all the attempts to make Bill Clinton look terrible on health care, he at least he had a plan and a good one for universal coverage. Obama's approach is mumbling and bumbling without ever taking a solid stand on anything.
Obama's plan preserves the profits of the health insurance companies while talking reform is simply an alarming contradiction. Obama doesn't take each issue separately, as Thomas demands, because the whole reform is just a PR stunt. Even the town hall meeting that brought out the right's attack dogs are just a show off. Congress women and men always go back to their district and discuss major, and minor, issues with their constituents; health care reform figures prominently in such discussions.
We may have a con man is the big house.

Christ on a cracker
I'm getting tired of these guys. Thomas lays it out perfectly. That they can't answer with a cogent, useful response is what is wrong with this whole process.
Medicare for all, no more insurance death panels. Co-opt the talking points of the fear mongerers. Don't wiggle around nervously as if you've already conceded the argument.
Transparency for Obama would mean the public would know
what he's actually doing.
He's a stealth executive, doing things the public doesn't expect him to do and that they did not think or know he would do. He can't be explicit or transparent.
