Of course, I mean a swimming pool, and not a pool of blood. Or oil.

Reminds me of a quotation from Dune:
“It is said in the desert that possession of water in great amount can inflict a man with fatal carelessness.”
Funny, I’m looking at all the renderings, and I don’t see any torture rooms in the basement. Maybe somebody should call them and ask about that:

NOTE The $750 million cost is surely not excessive, considering that Bush is planning for us to be in Iraq for the next fifty years. Let’s be reasonable, here, people. Krispy Kreme donuts don’t come cheap.
UPDATE If the ACLU can sue Boeing over selling flight plans for extraordinary rendition, somebody should ask Berger Devine Yaeger if there are torture rooms in the basement of the US embassy. (In fact, I did, but I’m still waiting for their response.)
Because those pools look like this:

[Abu Ghraib]

Isn't This Something the Democrats Should Be Looking At?
They couldn’t stop the money for this before - but they could now. Especially if they had hearings on what the hell is going on with this embassy - why it ever needed to be soooo big - the unbelievable cost.
How much will that pool be costing, I wonder?
Iraq has a population of 25 million, and dropping fast.
What were they thinking? What are they thinking?
Maybe putting up a permanent target for disaffected Iraqis to ensure a state of permanent war there?
So Close...
…to completing my master vision. Perpetual warfare is only one aspect, with many more fun and exciting secrets yet to be revealed.
Stay tuned.
I Have to Ask
I just HAVE to ask: Does the architectural form who designed this Embassy have an political connections to the Bushies? How much are they making off of this?
In answer to your question, Helen
I can’t find information that Yaeger is a Republican contributor; but their parent company, Louis Berger, is politically wired (and apparently not only to Republicans, alas).
No authoritarians were tortured in the writing of this post.
When was this project started
I’d really like to know when the Architects got the specs for this behemoth? I find it hard to believe that this project was just started after we illegally invaded Iraq? I want Congress to start asking questions. 14 permanent bases and this gigantic embassy…you can’t tell me this wasn’t in the works in 2001 or earlier.
World's Biggest Embassy
I guess Bush want to bath in Our soldiers blood in that swimming pool..$592 million dollar for build this building!!!Is this building going to be use as embassy??I think it’ll use as store room for weapons…
