Hey, Barack! Wake up and smell the Kool-Aid!

Since the Christianist Pharisees running the show in the Republican party must make any real Christian sick to their stomachs, and since the Christianists will never vote for any Democrat anyhow, why is Barack Obama sucking up to them? Here is the heart of the matter, and Obama doesn't get it:

[Obama] said, "Secularists are wrong when they ask believers to leave their religion at the door before entering the public square."

Uh, Barack? That "public square" meme is a Republican frame. Don't use it.

And all I want is not to be proselytized over the intercom by Christianist airline pilots. For example. Is that so much to ask?

As a result, "I think we make a mistake when we fail to acknowledge the power of faith in the lives of the American people and join a serious debate about how to reconcile faith with our modern, pluralistic democracy."

Dobson's interested in debating Obama? News to me.

Obama mentioned leaders of the religious right briefly, saying they must "accept some ground rules for collaboration" and recognize the importance of the separation of church and state.

And that's the bottom line.

The Christianists are not interested in any such ground rules. They don't want separation of church and state at all. In fact, they want their church to run the state.

Wake up and smell the Kool-Aid, Barack!
