Yep

And, yes, lambert, with a lot of these guys Freud wouldn’t know where to start. It’s almost embarassing for them to leak so much of their psyche all over the place and seem not even to realize it. Although, as I said at Talk Left, I don’t know how these guys expect to beat the GOP if they wet themselves every time Hillary says “boo”.

Thank you, mom

The only positive from this Misogyny Jihad is that it makes me all the more profoundly awed by my mother for surviving the brutal reality that was being one of the first group of women to attend grad school and enter the workforce. I honestly don’t know how she did it. Not until I felt what it was like to be suffocated by a deranged feeding frenzy these past few months did I begin to relate. Truly demoralizing: you either want to give up and run away (since beating the hell out of them is apparently “against the law”).

And I’d like to thank her (and my dad) for being such a hard-ass about me not defining male as anti-female. Whew, was I ever spared! Even friends acquaintances I could’ve sworn wouldn’t go batshit have struggled mightily, even becoming obsessed, with their ultra-misogyny. One literally twitches when he hears “Hillary.”

@BDB: I honestly don’t believe the point is to beat the GOP any more, just ensure they keep the misogynistic hierarchy safe.* That’s what matters. Nominating Clinton would be quite the threat—all the more now since it would mean she (and, thus, all women and girls) would triumph over the most ferocious hate they could muster.

*Instead of defending a viable Democratic contender from attack, they did everything they could to disembowel her candidacy. And they chose to worship a man with no legitimate chance against McCain.

Not a candidate for saint-hood

Or for being a sensitive new age male. I’m an old white guy, and a WASP. Beneficiary of the world’s most popular ideology, and all.

But the treatment being meted out to Hillary is so fucking obvious, and so over the top, that even I can see it and frame it as a matter of simple fairness and justice. You don’t have to go deeply into feminist theory to call bullshit on this. And it’s deeply unhealthy bullshit, at that, and arguably just as serious, and just as deserving of attention, as racism.

[x] Any (D) in the general. [ ] Any mullah-sucking billionaire-teabagging torture-loving pus-encrusted spawn of Cthulhu, bless his (R) heart.

But Lambert and Melissa,

Where is your sensitivity to those who are tired of the “pie fight” and who see political commentary as a zero-sum game?

The sum, of course, provides a healthy allocation for Obama fans (including the subset known as “media figures”) to paint the Clintons as racists, pimps, and whores, but simply can’t afford any words to defend them or question Obama.

You know the drill, if you do any of that, shame on you for not writing about something worthwhile.

Would Somone Take Pity On Me

…and please tell me what the hell is going on in that video clip?

It’s everywhere, and I can’t play it because of some problem with my flash player that thus far I can’t seem to fix by myself, while my tech guy is gone for two months. (And yes, I’ve tried to uninstall and then reinstall the flash player; and it won’t work properly in either Firefox or I.E)

Who is the girl I see and what happens in the clip.

Please, just a summary.

Which video clip do you mean, Leah?

This one, from another thread?

http://www.correntewire.com/the_misogyny…

Just let me know, and I’ll summarize.

Sure, leah

The video clip shows a series of MSM folks saying incredibly sexist crap about Hillary. Examples: Glenn Beck(?) saying “It cried” talking about NH, Jack Cafferty claiming that because Hillary was showing different moods on different days she had a multiple personality disorder, Bill Kristol talking about what a problem “white women” are, etc., etc. It’s overwhelming and incredibly depressing. It then morphs into the Network scene of “I’m mad as hell and I’m not going to take it anymore” and then into a very nice video montage to the tune of “Bitch” by Meredith Brooks of Hillary photos showing different aspects of her character (with Bill (I’m a lover), with Chelsea (I’m a mother), on the campaign trail, etc.).

FWIW, I couldn’t get it to play in Safari at all. It played for me in Mozilla. But it sounds like you already tried that.

Oops, to follow up on VL’s comment, I was assuming that was the clip, but now I realize it was an assumption on my part and could be wrong.

Played fine for me on Firefox/PC

.

I like the part

where the lyrics say “I’m a Bitch” and she looks pissed, and “I won’t be ashamed” are pics of her winking and giving thumps up. “I’m a tease” shows her laying in a hammock with Bill. There is a great shot of a little girl holding a sign that says “I Can Be President, Too”. And my fave shot was the line “I know I make you nervous” is a pic of her laughing her head off, while W stands next to her looking really nervous(like he wants to run and hide, hah!).

It is a really touching video, I’ve tried to show it to everyone I know. You might want to try to going to YouTube and put in Mad As Hell/Bitch.

Funny part, it was posted by user Shut The Freud Up.

Bill Clinton for First Dude!!!

I showed it to an active Obama supporter...

… who said she finally “gets it” about the Hillary hate and the unfairness thereof.

Though I don’t expect it will get her to switch teams, it was a welcome response.

My fave part

was where she was wearing the witches’ hat and laughing, er, I mean cackling. Gotta love that.

And that photo of her and Bill, where he has his hands over her shoulders and was taken after they left office, is from her website and I’m always struck by how gorgeous they both look in it. I don’t know who the photographer was, but nicely done.

Good for that Obama supporter, VL. I don’t expect them to change their minds, just not deny reality.

Profound

Anglachel nails it in one, here. The privilege, and the sense of fear, that comes from the Hillary Haters makes some much sense, if you analyze the threat many of the Blogger Boiz are feeling from women, who are threatening their socio-economic status.

I really can’t think of more to add, or else I would have made this a post.

Bill Clinton for First Dude!!!
