Unfortunately

I think the way things are going you are going to send to the cloud whether you like it or not.
For example, I got a Palm Pre and like it and all, and it's connected to Google. Since I use Google Gmail I can connect on the Google mail link on the Pre and it will grab anything I put on Google, for instance Calendar events and my contacts. Very cool in it's own way, until I deleted a duplicate contact on the Pre and it removed it from my Gmail contact list as well as the original..... Run away. Or be very cautious.
Supposedly the whole Pre backs up to some spot in the Borg Collective as well, but I want to sleep at night so I don't think about it.
