'Cause to me that'd be about the same. Rudy is a noxious weasel:
MONTGOMERY, Ala., April 10 — Answering a question that has become a litmus test of sorts for Republicans campaigning in the South, Rudolph W. Giuliani said Tuesday that he would leave the decision about whether to fly the Confederate battle flag over the State Capitol here to the people of Alabama.“One of the great beauties of the kind of government we have, which is a national/federal government, is that we can make — on a broad range of issues — we can make different decisions in different parts of the country,” Mr. Giuliani said. “We have different sensitivities, and at different times we are going to come to different decisions, and I think that is best left up to the states.”
I'm glad he respects the "different sensitivities" of racists and people who believe that slavery is a "states rights" issue. Hey, I know! Let's put Rudy back in his dress and wig, and have him speak to these same good 'Bama folk. I'm sure they'll be so happy to know a cross-dresser endorses their flag.

Iraq and the American South -- a contrast
When Iraq loses a war, it's OK to re-attack them years later, just because you feel like it.
When the South loses a war, you're expected to honor their right to celebrate an era when they treated human beings as particularly unloved cattle.
