This book collects Letsgetitdone's posts on the Peterson Commissions AmericaSpeaks event.
Here's an explanation of "Procrustean", used in the title of each post:
If you liked this post, buy the author some books. In the Greek myth, Procrustes was a son of Poseidon with a stronghold on Mount Korydallos, on the sacred way between Athens and Eleusis. There, he had an iron bed in which he invited every passer-by to spend the night, and where he set to work on them with his smith's hammer, to stretch them to fit. In later tellings, if the guest proved too tall, Procrustes would amputate the excess length; nobody ever fit the bed exactly because secretly Procrustes had two beds.

Thanks, but
a bit loose on the connections. The Peterson Foundation supports both AmericaSpeaks and the "Catfood" Commission, but it was the AmericaSpeaks event that was rigged as described in the series. The Catfood Commission was itself rigged previously, by the President who appointed 14 deficit terrorists out of 18 members of the Commission. As if that rigging wasn't enough, he allowed The Peterson Foundation to provide financial support to this supposedly "non-partisan, neutral Commission.
Thanks
Fixed, I hope.

Sure
You're welcome. But there is a connection. I think the Commission will be using the same numbers as AmericaSpeaks. See here.
