Fortunately, the "adept" Obama's off vacationing in Hawaii, safely offstage, out of sight, out of mind. Slick. Definitely not Lamont-esque.

Not only is she apparently amazingly unethical and disloyal, she is also so stupid she thinks she won't be immediately known as the only person privy to those emails who would publish them.
Memo to Hillary: I don't know what more evidence you need to have that no matter how much you play nice team ball with Obama, they won't hold back from screwing you over before, during or afterward. Don't you get it yet? They hate and fear you more than they hate or fear Republicans.
Put your name in for a roll call vote, you have nothing to lose.

... why Doyle was given the title of chief of staff to the VP when Obama hadn't even made the pick. Presumably, she collected a check or two, and the actual VP will then proceed to make the real pick. I suppose a corallary to my entirely unevidenced reasoning is that everybody saw this coming a mile off.

I know this is an obscure analogy, but one of my favorite movies is Aliens with the wonderful Sigorney Weaver. In one scene her character Ripley (Hillary) stumbles on the Alien mother (Obama) and all its henchmen (campaign staff) and eggs (OFB). Ripley fires a warning shot and the Alien mother gestures to its henchmen to back off. A tense pause as Ripley starts to retreat.... But as she does, an egg opens preparing to attack and Ripley realizes none of them can be trusted.
She roasts them.
Instructive.

According to Nightline, Sen. Barack Obama told them today he didn't think either Elizabeth or John Edwards would be attending the Democratic National Convention in Denver.
Edwards can't make a fuss at the convention? Coronation still in line? Check and Check.
Burn, Burn, Your other candidates down. Edwards and Clinton, join Palmer, Hull and Ryan.
I never before have wished ill will on a political candidate. But he just makes you want to see the same treatment directed back at him. And that's considering even that yes, American politics is a bloodsport and you should expect your dirty laundry out there .
That's not really proof
but it is Obama giving a little kick to Edwards on the way down. (I mean, it would have been easy to say "That's a decision for the Edwards family to make...").

...but more to add to the 'conveninet' theory pile. It just seems odd for me that he had to personally announce they weren't coming tot eh convention.
But then again we know he isn't always the one for convention.

You'd think by now the Village and its operatives, including many of the Obama people, would recognize the dynamic. Most Americans liked the Clinton Administration and most even like the Clintons. In part, they like them because the Clintons are seen as fighters (and even those who don't like them often respect this quality in them). So when you stomp on them, all you're doing is stomping on people a lot of Americans like and giving those same people an opportunity to show the reasons so many Americans like them.
The Clintons almost single handedly prove what a lie it is to say the American people want everyone in D.C. to get along. The Clintons prove that what most people really want is a fighter.
So Convenient
Whether it was PSD or not, all of Obama's main primary opponents slipping in their proverbial showers or tripping down their basements stairs is all too convenient. It's like they don't even care that anyone sees them do this, anymore. Is it that they are that afraid or that paranoid?
So, Edwards is conveniently can't make it to the convention due to personal problems, and Hillary can make it, but she's become some kind of neutral bot, at worst, and "Obama's Biggest Fan" at best.
Who wants to bet that something politically happens to #4 (Bill Richardson) in the next few days?
But, we've always been at war with Eastasia...
