How long?

Apparently the CIA Director may have had, um, a little bit more to do with those hookers than he previously admitted. That's the only conclusion I can draw from this sudden resignation. There's something embarrassing that's going to break soon. My, my.

The MSM is still trying to say this is "part of a shake-up." Bullshit. There's something coming. Don't feed us that line of bull.

We ought to start a pool. How long before Porter Goss gets indicted? As we all know, it generally takes an indictment in the works for such a sudden resignation to take place.

I think the last couple of years of this administration will be gripped by scandal, like the last two years of Reagan's administration were. Ronnie's administration still leads all prior administrations in corruption no matter how you measure it but I think W's may surpass them eventually. I expect indictments to be going on for the next five to seven years.

This could get interesting.

UPDATE Josh has more, including some inside scoop on why it may be that Goss is in trouble.

Lots of speculation flying around but it looks like the Hindenberg and its newly-arranged deckchairs may have just struck an iceberg.

Good reading! Favorite quote: What could go wrong?
Beyond war, inflation, the end of the technology/productivity wave, and financial collapse, we think the most potent and short-term threat would be societies demanding a more ‘equitable’ share of wealth.

Random term

A ritual term of abuse used of liberals by wingers when the winger lacks a substantive response to an argument. Synonym: "Shut up!" Sometimes used ironically by liberals. Usage example, with irony: I used to like Paul Krugman when he wrote about economics, but lately he's been getting too shrill (from Atrios).

I support Americans United for Separation of Church and State.
