How many prisoners are in Bush's European gulag?

I always had the picture that the planes the CIA was using for its "extraordinary renditions" were executive jets. So, we were handing people over to be tortured--or torturing them in the air--in onesies and twos. Heck, that's not so bad.

Think again.

A plane suspected of being used by the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) departing from Palma de Mallorca airport. So, do the math. How many prisoners does that plane hold? 100? So, given 85 flights, that would make 8500 prisoners.

Enough to fill a decent camp, I'd say.

And certainly a camp large enough to be picked up by satellite photographs.

Meanwhile, Condi's telling the Europeans to back off. Guess that would mean the camps are real, wouldn't it?

Why are Republicans pro-torture?
