Here. I've been involved in RL today, so I'm not clear whether these rules can still be changed by the Saturday vote, or not.
However, although I see a Boehner substitute amendment, I don't see a Weiner substitute amendment. And a quick search of the Dingell Manager's amendment PDF yields nothing on ERISA, which is the concern of the Kucinich Amendment. So, it looks like Pelosi reneged on her commitment to Weiner, and stiff-armed Kucinich. Oddly, or not, I can't find a single Google news story on any of this, let alone anything at the Access List blogs. Single payer unpersons!

kucinich amendment out
just found that out in my email and was about to post on it.
there's one more shot at getting the kucinich amendment in the bill [and presumably the weiner amendment too] -- as it [they] can be added in the conference committee.

"While the working class is moving into opposition, middle class liberals and ex-radicals have closed ranks with Obama. His administration has become the political vehicle through which these political forces have moved further to the right, lining up behind a right-wing, anti-working class government and defending the interests of American imperialism abroad. Their evolution is bound up with their rejection of class as the fundamental social category and their embrace of politics based on race, gender, etc.
"Meanwhile, Obama is providing an object lesson that the fundamental divisions in society are those of class, not race. The outcome of his election underscores the futility of seeking genuine change through the existing political system and its official institutions, all of which are dominated by the class that owns and controls the means of production."
One thing Democratic control of the Executive and Legislative has achieved: it's increasingly clear to everyonethat the game is rigged.
Damn the ERISA, full speed ahead!
We fight for single-payer in the states regardless. And if the health insurance industry wants to challenge them in court, we'll take it to the courts. We'll fight tooth and nail, sweat and blood against the tyrants in the court rooms, in the legislatures, and even in the streets.
Pennsylvania has a shot at being the first. Whether they succeed or not, they won't be the last.
Nothing is true; everything is permitted.
