Allow me to feel a little pride over having taken quite a few arrows in the Disgruntled Democrats Room of the Mighty Corrente Building for being a cheerleader for Darcy Burner’s “more and better Democrats” agenda.

She won me over when she said (see video) “the FISA bill that just got passed in the House really sucks.”

I put that up there with “vast rightwing conspiracy,” “dumb wars,” and Pete Stark’s coming out as a heathen as priceless moments of candor in a time that desperately needs it.

one of the only unambiguously good things...

…I’ve seen of late is undoubtedly this effort, which even (finally!) made it to today’s WaPo. (I saw the article on CSPAN’s Washington Journal this morning, but since I avoid linking to the WaPo as assiduously as I would avoid linking to Fox, you’ll have to go find it yourselves.)

ANYTHING that gives this generation of “more and better Democrats” (especially if they happen to BE better) a louder voice should be supported wholeheartedly.

Atrios sorta kinda mentions it

But does so rather weakly.

No push whatsoever.

I signed as well

Thanks for the video VL; that FISA line was indeed priceless.

Let me put on my OFB hat for a moment and mention for the record that Obama stumped for Ms. Burner in 2006:

More and better Democrats is a noble cause.

Whatever happens with the top of the ticket, it’s vital to elect more and better Democrats to the Legislative branch.

Bluegrass Poet

I am going to guess by your handle that you are a fellow KY resident? If so, I don’t know which region you’re in, but Clinton is going to being speaking in Louisville tomorrow.

Me too.

Me too.
