A friend of mine was actually "shocked" by the South Dakota situation. Most of us saw it coming in December of 2000. Most of us also saw this:
Missouri legislators in Jefferson City considered a bill that would name Christianity the state's official "majority" religion.
House Concurrent Resolution 13 is pending in the state legislature.
The resolution would recognize "a Christian god," and it would not protect minority religions, but "protect the majority's right to express their religious beliefs.
The resolution also recognizes that, "a greater power exists," and only Christianity receives what the resolution calls, "justified recognition."
These people will have to kill me, but for the less martyr-like out there: don't say you weren't warned. Dominionism is real, growing, and coming to a state legislature near you very, very soon.
Oh, and I read in the Detroit print paper the other day that they're going to take abortion off the table here too. Michigan: Heart of the Bible Belt! Smug coastal people should not be confident that Paradise will last...
