Medicare for All would save $350 billion a year (study in New England Journal of Medicine).

this is how McCain will do it--
he'll be "above the fray" --and condemn every single other Republican on Earth who will be continually trashing Obama.
Hillary tried it, using Bill as surrogate, but the media wouldn't let her or him do it--they'll let McCain get away with all of this shit endlessly tho.
have we ever had a candidate where no one was allowed
to use his full name? Has any party?
The middle name awkwardness is, well, awkward
Andrea Mitchell's comment in this clip is a great case in point.
But this guy is selling the middle name so hard (see the CNN version on C&L), there's no question that he's making a racist taunt out of it, so I can understand the discomfort with this.
Interesting, though, that no one seems to be noticing (as I point out in comments on C&L) that he's trashing the Clintons, too, by implying (not implying, screaming, really) they're some pernicious machine that controls the SCLM
.
but how it's used can't possibly be a surprise to anyone,
can it?
He should have changed it when he started in politics (i would have)--it's really not cool that suddenly it's totally off-limits and portrayed as an attack no matter what.
It's way way too easy to use as an attack--we'll be hearing it every day throughout the election.
And shouldn't he be happy or at least ok with it anyway if he kept it?
John Sidney McCain?
Has a nice ring to it.
Sidney is a nice, old-fashioned name.
Maybe we should just go with "Sid"?

"First they ignore you, then they ridicule you, then they fight you, then you win." -- Mahatma Gandhi
(i like Sid as a name--it's
like all those grandpa names that are popular baby names now--Max, Sam, Oscar, etc)
Amberglow, imagine if someone kept saying "Missus Clinton...."
Hissing the first word like Bridget Fonda saying "Lou-isssss" in Jackie Brown?
It's pretty clear when wingnuts are taunting him about the name, and I'm happy to call them out it.
That said, one ought to be able to cite his whole name when the context demands it. There was zero question that he kept repeating it for racist, xenophobic effect (which is more clear in the CNN excerpts linked upstream). Let's not defend that.
that's ok in my book--
as long you're not using fake names or Coulter-esque insults like a gradeschooler, you can pronounce a real name however you want--this is a dirty game, and intonation of a real name is not at all even smearing, compared to most attacks.
Most GOP fools do Mzzzzzzzzz. Clinton anyway. And then there's that whole "Democrat Party" instead of "Democratic Party" ...
And we call them on "Democrat Party"
Don't give 'em an inch.
what's far more offensive is this 3 Faces of Hillary/Sybil bs
on TV all night--appalling.
Hello! CNN! Glenn Beck Anyone?
I was watching CNN this afternoon and the way they were covering this right wing nutsack Bill Gallagher, you'd have thought he just got caught drinking the blood of a newborn baby.
I sent them one of my nice emails letting them know how glad I was that they were outraged that some right wing creep was smearing Obama, but asked them where the hell they have been the past 15+ years as all of these right wing creeps were demonizing the entire Clinton family.
Then I reminded them that they were paying a guy millions of dollars a year who's personal attacks and character assassinations against the Clintons make Bill Gallagher look like a lightweight.
