In The Olde Days, Mithras Ruled the Army

Not a fan of the Sun Bull? Well, why the hell not? Everybody knows that He's the bedrock of our society:

The sad truth of the matter is that American politics is, on some level, a bit dull. If you strongly object to the current direction of the country, you have to support giving the other party a chance to run things. There’s no other way around it, and anyone who says otherwise is part of the problem.

I'm not saying he's "wrong." I'm just saying: the Immortals all die, eventually. Who's to say when that date will be, for any given undying god or cause? "There are only two choices in American Politics." My question: for how long will this statement be operative? Once long ago, it seemed "inevitable" that Ganesh and Isis would forever shape our destinies. What shorn family flesh are the Democrats offering me, such that my forebrow glows with the wisdom of holy touch?

'It's always been so' is not a useful, constructive, or factually correct argument to make, guys.
